Attaching the Camera (Step 5)
The camera model is the ASI2600MC Duo. When I first received it as a gift, I honestly didn’t even know which model it was. It was only during setup that I learned this camera has a built-in guide camera integrated into the body.
“MC” stands for multi-color, and “Duo” means it contains two cameras in one unit. The sensor is APS-C format with 26 megapixels. There are also full-frame cameras available, but as you’d expect, they come at a much higher price.
My scope (lens) has a focal length of 250mm, a focal ratio of f/4.9, and an aperture of 51mm. At first glance, the terminology might seem different from other photography genres, but the underlying physics is actually the same. It just feels different because of how we interpret and apply the concepts.
With regular cameras and lenses, art (how it looks) is the priority.
With astro cameras and optics, signal (light collection) is what really matters.
You don’t care about bokeh in space — you care about how fast you collect photons.
I’ll write a separate post later about mono cameras and using multiple filters, since that topic can get quite detailed.

Normal camera နဲ့ lens တွေမှာက art (look important) ကအရေးကြီးပြီး၊ astro camera နဲ့ lens တွေမှာက signal (Light important) ကအရေးကြီးပါတယ်။
You don't care about the bokeh in space. You care about how fast you collect the photons.....
