The Cost of a Small Mistake: Using the Wrong Binning in ASIAIR
Every function inside ASIAIR includes a feature called Binning.
Here’s how it works:
Bin 1 (1×1) reads each pixel individually, meaning you get the full resolution of the sensor.
Bin 2 (2×2) combines four pixels into one.
Bin 3 (3×3) combines nine pixels into one.
The advantages of binning are increased signal, reduced noise, and smaller file sizes, which also means faster downloads. Because of this, it’s very useful for pre-processing tasks such as plate solving, polar alignment, focusing, and guiding.
However, since binning reduces resolution, it’s not suitable for actual image capture (shooting). So I’d recommend using it only for those supporting processes—not for autorun imaging (unless you specifically need it for another purpose).
In my recent galaxy shot, I accidentally used Bin 2 instead of Bin 1. As a result, instead of getting my camera’s full resolution of 6248 × 4176, I only got 3124 × 2088. That made it impossible to crop the image the way I wanted.
At times like this—when shooting opportunities are already limited—making this kind of mistake can lead to serious regret… 😔
AsiAir အထဲက function တိုင်းမှာ Binning ဆိုတယ့်လုပ်ဆောင်ချက်လေးတစ်ခုက အမြဲပါဝင်ပါတယ်။ သူ့ရဲ့လုပ်ဆောင်ချက်ကဘယ်လိုလဲဆိုတော့ Bin 1 (1×1) ဆိုရင် pixel တစ်ခုချင်းကိုသီးသန့်ယူတယ်၊ သဘောက sensor resolution အပြည့်ရတယ်လို့ ဆိုလိုချင်တာပါ။ Bin 2 (2×2) ဆိုရင် pixel လေးခုကိုတစ်ခုအဖြစ်ပေါင်းတာကိုဆိုလိုတာဖြစ်ပြီး Bin 3 (3×3) ဆိုတာက pixel ကိုးခုကိုတစ်ခုအနေနဲ့ပေါင်းလိုက်တာကို ဆိုလိုတာပါ။ Binning လုပ်ခြင်းရယ့် အားသာချက်တွေက signal ပိုများတယ်၊ Noise နည်းတယ်၊ File size သေးတော့ Download ပိုမြန်တယ် ဆိုတာတွေကြောင့် pre-process တွေဖြစ်တယ့် Plate Solving, Polar Alignment, Focusing, Guiding စတယ့် processes တွေအတွက်တော့ကောင်းပေမယ့် Resolution လျော့သွားတာမို့လို့ shooting အတွက်တော့မကောင်းပါဘူး။ ဒါကြောင့် Autorun (shooting) ကလွဲလို့ကျန်တယ့် processes တွေအတွက်ပဲ သုံးဖို့ recommend ပါရစေခင်ဗျ ( unless want to use for different purpose)။
အခု Galaxy ပုံမှာ Bin 1 အစား Bin 2 ကိုမှားပြီးသုံးမိတာကြောင့် ပုံမှန်ဆိုကျွန်တော့်ကင်မရာရဲ့ resolutions အပြည့်ဖြစ်တယ့် 6248 x 4176 ရရမှာကို 3124 x 2088 ပဲရလိုက်လို့ cropping မှာကိုယ့်စိတ်တိုင်းကျ crop လို့မရတော့ဘူးဖြစ်သွားတယ်လေ။ ရိုက်လို့ရတယ့်အချိန်ကာလ အကန့်အသတ်နဲ့ရှိနေတယ့် အခုလိုအချိန်မျိုးတွေမှာ အခုလိုအမှားမျိုးလုပ်မိတာက လူကိုနောင်တအကြီးကြီးရစေပါတယ်.....
